Error: Auth Token cannot be used

If you encounter the following error message : 

Please try signing out via the Help Menu first as follows : 

1. [menu] Help > Signout (emailaddress)

2.  PC: [menu] File > Exit SketchUp

    Mac : [menu] SketchUp > Quit SketchUp

If the issue still cannot be resolved after signing outplease the refer to the following steps:

For Windows

  1. Close all running instances of SketchUp or LayOut
  2. Open your file browser, and navigate to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp2022\SketchUp (You may need to enable the ability to view hidden files and folders. See this article )
  3. Locate and delete the file named "login_session.dat"
  4. Restart SketchUp and attempt to log in

For Mac

  1. Close all instances of SketchUp and LayOut by right clicking on their icons in the dock, and clicking "Quit". (Note: This step is necessary, to ensure all the other steps will work).
  2. Go to your desktop, you should see "Finder" and "Go" in the top left menu bar
  3. Click on "Go" Then hold the Option key and "Library" should appear in the list. Click "Library"
  4. Navigate to Application Support > SketchUp 2022
  5. Locate and delete the "login_session.dat" file
  6. Restart SketchUp and log back in
