How long does it take for newly purchased SketchUp Subscriptions to become available?
We strive to deliver new subscriptions within 1 full business day (typically within a few hours of payment being received). However, in exceptional circumstances delivery may be delayed. For EDU subscriptions, your proof of EDU eligibility requires manual verification, which sometimes involves contacting the relevant educational institution, and so delays of some days can sometimes occur. If you have not received email confirmation that your new subscription(s) are ready/available within 1-2 full business days, please let us know.
How many SketchUp Subscriptions are there to choose from?
How do I access my subscription?
You must sign in to the Trimble AMP to access your subscription. You can sign in with Trimble ID or by using Google SSO. Regardless of how you sign in you will access products under a Trimble ID user account. Each user account can only be associated with one individual person. You cannot create a generalized user account that is shared by more than one person. This is what we refer to as a named user. You also cannot create more than one user account per person.
What is the subscription term?
Generally, SketchUp subscription terms are annual. You pay once when you start and you’re entitled to use all the features contained within your chosen SketchUp Subscription for one full year.
Unless you have purchased a subscription type that does not automatically renew (EDU), or if you've purchased via invoice, at the end of your term, your subscription will automatically renew for another annual term at the then-current price.
When will my SketchUp subscription expire?
If your subscription does not automatically renew (EDU) or you HAVE disabled/cancelled the automatic renewal of your subscription, your subscription will expire and you will lose access to the products and services afforded by your subscription at the end of the subscription term (usually 1 year from the start of the subscription term). If you HAVE NOT disabled/cancelled the automatic renewal of your subscription, your subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged for this renewal at the then-current price. We will endeavour to reach out to you in the weeks and days leading up to your renewal date to remind you to setup your renewal (enabled or disabled) the way you want.
Changes to the Price and Subscription Plans?
We may change our subscription plans and the price of our service from time to time; however, any price changes or changes to your subscription plans will apply no earlier than 30 days following notice to you.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
When you sign up for a subscription you’ll prepay for the full term of your annual subscription. If you do not want to pay for an additional year you can disable auto renewal. If you disable/cancel automatic renewals, you will be able to use the products and services afforded by your subscription for the remainder of the subscription term. There are no partial refunds if you stop using your subscription before the end of the term. Ending your subscription does not necessarily mean you will lose all of your files. You can save your files on your own computer for safekeeping. As long as you keep those saved files up to date you can continue to open them in the free version of SketchUp for Web. However, if your saved files rely on some extensions that are not available in the free version of SketchUp for Web, you may experience loss of functionality. If you happen to exceed Trimble Connect’s free quota of 10gb of stored data, all of your files will be set to read-only. This will restrict usage of Sketchup for Web by preventing you from saving new files. You will be able to download your files and store them on your computer by signing into Trimble Connect.
How do I opt out of automatic renewals?
You may opt out of the automatic renewal by logging into your SketchUp Australia Account, managing your subscriptions, and cancelling the relevant subscription.
Can I get a refund if I choose to cancel my subscription?
There are no partial refunds if you stop using your subscription before the end of the term.
However, you do have 14 days from the date of purchase to request a full refund for your SketchUp subscription. After 14 days, you cannot obtain a refund.
To request a refund for your SketchUp subscription, please Contact Us.
Can subscriptions be transferred to other users?
Educational Subscriptions CANNOT be transferred to another person.
There are certain circumstances when Commercial Subscriptions can be transferred to a different person. SketchUp Subscriptions are intended for use by a single named user (person/employee) for the duration of the subscription term, without ability to re-assign except in following permitted circumstances:
- If a subscription is inadvertently assigned to the wrong person at the time of purchase;
- If a subscription is initially assigned to an employee of your organisation, and that employee leaves your organisation during the subscription term, then you may re-assign the subscription to another employee (once per subscription per subscription term); and
- At the time of subscription renewal, you may re-assign a subscription to a new person.
How many devices can I use my SketchUp subscription on?
Each SketchUp PRO, EDU or STUDIO subscription can be authorised on up to 2 devices (plus 1 iPad) at the same time.
Each SketchUp GO subscription can only be authorised on 1 device.
You can deauthorise your subscription from a device (or from all devices) to move the authorisation(s) to different devices.
Only 1 of these authorised devices can be actively using SketchUp at any time (each subscription is only to be used by 1 person after all).
You can mix authorisations between PCs and Macs.
I already own Classic SketchUp Pro. Do I get access to the Pro subscription as well?
No. SketchUp subscriptions are independent of the SketchUp Classic perpetual licences.
