V-Ray is a rendering tool that allows you to create photorealistic, stunning visuals for your designs. It is included in your SketchUp Studio subscription only.
Although you can purchase V-Ray as a standalone app, it is much cheaper to purchase the SketchUp Studio plan ( which includes all the essential 3D modeling tools) if you are going to use SketchUp with V-Ray anyway.
Please note you'll be getting the latest version of V-RAY (v.7) with your SketchUp Studio.
